Bridal Jewellery & Tips For The Bride To Be

Bridal Jewellery & Tips For The Bride To Be

Are you a bride to be? Then you must be extremely busy with all the planning – clothes, bridal jewellery, beauty packages and maybe diets & gym. On top of this, there must be many social duties. It is a very busy time and the pressure of time can be really underestimated. So, brides to be,  I wrote up a few tips on bridal look that helped me during this super demanding period of my life, that might help you too.

  1. Delegate

When I was getting married, I did not really pay attention to a lot of things and left it on my mother and sister – in – law to do a lot for me. And they were super helpful. They took care of the bridal jewellery pieces and accessories like Nath & Mathapatti (even though I make jewellery, it was really difficult to decide what would be best for me). They even took care of going around hunting for the perfect lehenga and they short listed a few for me, so I don’t have to go to every store.

  • Shop online

I shopped online a lot! I shopped for jutti’s  from Juttichoo & Needledust. They are super useful & comfortable for the few days before and after the wedding ceremonies. I also shopped my Sangeet lehenga online. My mother was super skeptical of how it will turn out to be, but I am a big believer of saving time and shopping online, so I was pretty convinced. I did a lot of research though before ordering and then in a few hours I just went ahead and paid online. It arrived in a few days and I was absolutely in love with it. The colors were perfect and it fit like a glove. If you’d like to know where I got it from, do email me and I’ll give you all the details.

  • Save money on jewellery like nath, mangtikka etc.

There are some bridal jewellery pieces that make us look like queens on the special day, but after that it is never used. I wanted to wear a big nath & statement mathapatti for my wedding but if I got it made in gold, diamonds & polki , it was costing me a fortune. I also wanted a heavy pasa for the sangeet. And I knew that it would never be reused. I suggest to get these accessories made with CZ stones and any other metal (hint hint). I got my nath made on silver with CZ polki, and it is so beautiful. It is so beautiful that I wish I had more events so I could wear it. For mathapatti, I used my mother’s age old pearls necklaces.

We all want to look absolutely mesmerizing on our day. But if we can be practical about it, we will not only be more comfortable but we can also start a new trend of being relaxed rather than an overwhelmed bride.
